Group urges PDP governorship aspirant to address insecurity in Nasarawa

Nasarawa State Consultative Group has called on Yusuf Agabi, a Peoples Democratic party (PDP) governorship aspirant in the 2015 election to give security a priority when elected.
Luka Usman, the spokesperson of the group, made the call yesterday while answering question at a press conference in Lafia.
Usman, who led members of the group to the press briefing, urged Agabi to contest the 2015 general elections, saying that the group will support him.
He also described insecurity in some parts of the state as unfortunate, adding that, “If voted, Agabi should ensure peace in the state.
“No meaningful development will ever take place in the state without peace.”

He also called on him to attract foreign investors, stressing that it is a critical ingredient for ensuring socio-economic development in the state.
According to him, Nasarawa state has the resources and human capital to address our current state of insecurity.
The group, which membership cuts across the state, also urged him to address the enormous problems confronting civil servants in the state which include lack of promotion, non-annual increment, training of staff, among others.
