Youth of the Niger South senatorial district on the aegis of Youth Advocacy Group, Wednesday, called on the incoming administration of Hon Umar Mohammed Bago to give priority to the completion of the 82km Minna-Bida road.
The group also urged the incoming administration to provide adequate security to lives and properties of citizens after inauguration on May 29.
The youth made the appeal in a communiqué issued at the end of a roundtable discussion to chart ways for the development of the state held in Bida.
In the communiqué jointly signed by the group’s chairman, Danjuma Usman Suleiman, and secretary, Yahaya Alhaji Baba, the youth appealed to the governor-elect to take decisive steps to ensure that Minna-Bida road was completed.
“We also called on the incoming administration to declare a state of emergency in the education sector to address the decays in the sector,” the group said.
