Members of the Civil Society Budget Implementation and Monitoring Evaluation Committee (CBIAMEC) have congratulated Comrade Solomon Adodo, on his appointment as a board member of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), at his office Abuja.
Led by CBIAMEC Chairman, Comrade Splendour Agbonkpolor, Comrade Ogakwu Dominic, and other key members, the delegation extended heartfelt congratulations to Comrade Adodo and praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to inclusive leadership, especially in empowering competent young voices from the civil society space into vibrant position of strategic leadership.
Adodo, who was recently appointed as Board Member representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the NCDC, was lauded by the visiting coalition for his history of patriotic activism and his readiness to serve.
The CSOs described his appointment as a victory for all youth and civic actors across Nigeria.
They emphasized their belief that Adodo would deliver, particularly as the NCDC is tasked not only with supporting government efforts to emancipate the poor from poverty but also with bringing sustainable development to the grassroots level across all region.
The delegation also extended their appreciation to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) for their roles in identifying and endorsing credible youth leadership.
“Our strength is in our unity. Over 300 civil society organizations nationwide are fully aligned and ready to support Comrade Adodo’s vision. A win for one of us is a win for all.” They said.
They committee also announced their intention to formally express their appreciation to President Tinubu and Senate President Akpabio in the coming days, calling the appointment a defining moment for youth inclusion and civic recognition in national development.
In his response, Comrade Solomon Adodo expressed gratitude for the visit and unwavering support. He reaffirmed his dedication to the task ahead, noting that though the Commission is still in its infancy, he is well-equipped and confident in his capacity to deliver results in the FCT.
“This is more than an appointment; it’s a call to patriotic duty. Out of over 200 million Nigerian youths, the President, in his benevolence, found me worthy to serve. I don’t take this lightly.” Adodo said.
He thanked President Tinubu for giving the youth a voice and platform, adding that the President cannot be everywhere, which is why he has appointed them as lieutenants to ensure that development reaches the grassroots and the people feel the impact of government.
The meeting ended with renewed energy and resolve by the committee to work hand in hand with the NCDC in fulfilling its mandate for the benefit of the people, especially the underserved communities in the region.
