A group of the Peoples Democratic People (PDP) supporters under the auspices of Concern Youths Forum in Niger State has called on the party to conduct free and fair governorship primaries to avoid unnecessary crisis.
The group stated this yesterday in a statement issued in Minna signed by the group leader Dr Mohammed Bello.
He urged delegates to be patriotic and responsible in choosing a credible candidate that can fly the flag of the party in the state.
He said that it would be disastrous if the party failed to make a good choice that can lead the party to glorious general elections come 2019 in the state.
He said, “The current political assessment in Niger state indicated that Alhaji Aminu Mohammed Baka is a leading aspirant and preferred by masses because of the potentials to rescue and reposition the state”.
He advised that party delegates in the forthcoming governorship primaries to shun money bag politicians and vote according to their conscience He said, “This is the only way they could show their patriotism adding that whoever brings money during the governorship primary in Niger State should be ignored or the money collected while you vote for your conscience and credible aspirant who will save the state from its backwardness”.
