Gombe governor-elect mourns 2nd republic minister

Gombe state Governor-elect,  Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Second Republic Minister, Alhaji Magaji Muazu, Ubandoman Gombe who died Sunday evening in Gombe at the age of 80.

The Governor-elect who had to cut short his visit outside the state in honor of the deceased elder statesman, said Alhaji Muazu was a great leader who served the country diligently and contributed immensely to the development of Gombe State.

He urged the children he left behind to uphold the legacy of honour bequeathed to them by their late father.

Alhaji  Yahaya prayed Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannatul Firdaus and his family the fortitude to bear the great loss.

The Governor-elect also paid similar visit to the family of the late Alhaji Ismaila Abubakar, the son of late Emir of Gombe Mallan Abubakar Umar II  who died yesterday. He described the late prince as a man of peace whose death leaves a huge vacuum. He prayed Allah to forgive his shortcomings and admit him  into Aljannatul Firdaus.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the Gombe Emirate Council over the death of the duo.

Responding on behalf of the two families and the Emirate Council, the Senior District Head of Gombe, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abubakar thanked the Governor-elect for identifying with them during their moment of grip.

Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya also visited the families of Alhaji Ali Kumo who lost their daughter, Hajiya Indo Baba Na’ana in an accident along Bauchi road and that of Alhaji Yabono who died on Sunday as well as Malam Mammade Tela Jekadafari who lost his wife.
