Over 560 personnel of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kano state command, have benefitted from a free one-day medical outreach organised by Els Empowerment Foundation.

The exercise, held at the command’s headquarters on Airport Road, provided comprehensive health screenings for officers and staff, including tests for malaria, diabetes and blood pressure, with free medications distributed to beneficiaries.

A statement by the foundation’s coordinator, Musa Sani Aliyu, said the initiative was aimed at appreciating the sacrifices of security personnel.

“This initiative is our way of recognising the gallant efforts of our men and women in uniform in safeguarding the country,” he noted.

Comptroller of Immigration for Kano state command, Bala Kabir Danja, commended the foundation and its president, Ambassador Adesuwa Udo, describing the intervention as timely and impactful.
