FCT FA Election: Mouktar orders Ethics & Disciplinary Committee to investigate incident

In light of a serious incident that occurred during the recently concluded FCT FA bye election, the Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCT FA), Adam Mouktar Mohammed, has officially directed the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee to launch a comprehensive investigation.This step underscores the FCT FA’s commitment to transparency, fairness, and the highest ethical standards in all its activities.

The committee terms of reference are, to conduct a detailed inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident, including gathering facts, testimonies, and evidence from all relevant parties.

Establish the roles and responsibilities of individuals or groups involved in the incident.

Also there are to assess Compliance with Rules and Regulations:

Determine if any FCT FA statutes, election guidelines, or ethical codes were violated during the election process or related events.

Again, the committee is saddled with the responsibility of recommending disciplinary actions:

Propose appropriate sanctions or corrective measures, if necessary, in accordance with the FCT FA Constitution and relevant regulations.

And also to provide guidance for future elections:

Offer recommendations to prevent the recurrence of such incidents and strengthen the integrity of future electoral processes.

The committee is required to: commence investigation: immediately upon receiving this mandate.

Submit Interim Report: Within 14 days of this directive.

Deliver Final Report: Within 30 days, including findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations.
