Ex-minister Hassan Lawal buried in Keffi

The remains of former Minister of Works and Housing, Dr.
Hassan Lawal, was yesterday laid to rest in his home town, Keffi in Keffi local government area of Nasarawa state.
He died in the late hours of Saturday after a protracted illness at the Turkish Nizamye Hospital, Abuja.
The funeral prayers which took place yesterday at the Emir’s palace, Keffi , was led by the Chief Imam of Keffi , Mallam Mohammed Auwal, according to Islamic rites.
It was attended by prominent Nigerians, including Nasarawa state governor, Umaru AlMakura , former governor of the state, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, former ministers and traditional rulers across the state.
Lawal died at the age of 72, and left behind two wives, four children.
He served as minister under the late president Umar Yar’adua
