Etsu Kwali fought for peace, harmony, united all tribes – Yoruba community

The chief of Yoruba in Dabi community of Kwali area council, FCT Abuja, Abdulkareem Abdulsalam, has commiserated with the family,  Kwali area council chairman  and people of Kwali area over the death of its monarch, HRH Dr. Shaban Audu Nizazo, who died December 29, 2022 after a protracted illness.

Abdulsalam, while speaking to Blueprint in late monarch’s palace in Kwali, said the Etsu’s death was a great loss to the people of Kwali area council and FCT which he served and led for many years.

He said the Etsu was one of the leaders that consistently fought for peace, justice and harmony in his domain by galvanising people of different tribes, faiths and political persuasions to respect one another and live in peace.

He said the late monarch worked hard to ensure that the culture of hard work and honesty remained paramount among the Yoruba community and other ethic groups as well as the entire people of Kwali, particularly the youths whom he always encouraged to shun idleness and violence.

While commiserating with his immediate family, Abdulsalam urged the Yoruba community in the area to uphold his legacies by carrying on from where he stopped in making Kwali a great place and home to all.

He appealed to the federal, state and local government as well as well meaning Nigerians to assist the bereaved family where necessary.

Dr. Shaban Audu Nizazo III was appointed as first Etsu of Kwali on March 2015. The second class monarch and was given the staff of office on May 20, 2015 by a former Minister of FCT Senator Abdulkadir Bala Mohammed, now governor of Bauchi state. He was age 67.
