ESUT to partner Canadian group on entrepreneurial reinvention – VC

Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has said the management will partner with the Council of Entrepreneurs for Africa (COEFA) Ottawa, Canada, on entrepreneurial reinvention.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Aloysius-Micheals Okolie, stated this while briefing journalists on the institution’s 19th Convocation coming up on Nov. 18.

Okolie said the institution would soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Canadian group to enhance skills of its undergraduates.

“We intend to revolutionalise teaching and research in ESUT with 60 per cent emphasis on capacity building and strengthening the employability status of our graduands.

“At the resumption of office, we embarked on infrastructural upgrade, staff biometric exercise, payment of staff salaries and enrolment, network connectivity and digitalisation of the university records,” he said.

The vice chancellor made it clear that the school management would always hold on to its promise of hosting convocation every year for graduates.

He said the school management was committed to promoting the fundamental principles of the institution that would enhance the environment for advancing academic innovation, research, sustainable human capital development and self actualisation in line with global best practice.
