Enugu: Awgu chairman greets residents on Easter

In a heartfelt Easter message to the residents of Awgu local government area, Hon. Uche Okolo has extended warm wishes for a joyous and blessed celebration. 

The message, delivered during this season of renewal, emphasised the themes of rebirth, hope, and community strength.

“Happy Easter Ndi Awgu,” Okolo began as he encouraged residents to reflect on the love that unites them and the resilience they draw from one another, while  acknowledging the significance of the Easter season as a time for gratitude and reflection.

The Chairman commended the the governor of Enugu state, Dr. Barrister Ndubuisi Mbah, for his steadfast dedication to the development of the state.

He highlighted the governor’s impactful initiatives across various sectors, including education, agriculture, healthcare, and security, which had collectively enhanced the quality of life for residents and contributed positively to the state’s economy.

Okolo also celebrated the progress made within the Awgu local government area under his administration, pointing out some of the significant advancements such as the installation of solar street lights, the establishment of over 20 solar boreholes, and ongoing road projects, including the roads to Enugu Smart Green School. 

These initiatives, he noted, reflected a commitment to improving living conditions and fostering sustainable development.

“As we gather with family and friends this Easter, may we be filled with love, peace, and prosperity,” Okolo said, and urged the community to embrace the spirit of Easter as a catalyst for continued collaboration towards a brighter future.

He emphasised the importance of empowering youth and women, creating jobs, and supporting students.

Okolo reaffirmed his dedication to serving the people of Awgu and his commitment to aligning with Governor Mbah’s vision for effective community development, wishing all residents a ‘Happy Easter’, filled with hope, love, and renewed spirit and hoping that the blessings of the season would resonate throughout the community.
