The Senetor representing Adamawa South senatorial district, Binos Dauda Yaroe, has urged the people of Adamawa South senatorial district, especially the youths in his constituency, to unite and toe the path of honour.
The Senator specifically asked them to emulate the virtue of Late. Papa Jonah Wesley Eliel who lived for God and humanity by engaging themselves in productive ventures to enable them become useful to themselves, their families and society as a whole,as exhibited by the deceased.
Binos gave this advice to the youths of his constituency while speaking at the 20 years memorial service in honour of one of the most patrotic sons of the senetorial district, Late.Jonah Wesley Eliel Monday at Dapanti village of Mayo Belwa local Government area of his senetorial district.
He described the deceased as not only a patrotic son of Adamawa state but also a brother and a true friend known for his humility ,passion for humanity, love for the common man who have torched so many lives and always ready to sacrificed everything in his disposal to bring comfort and succour to others hence the need for the youths who are the leaders of tomorrow to followed his foot steps and make impacts on their society as much as they can .
” Jonah was everything and more than one needs in a brother and a friend.when we were growing up in secondary school/ University in the 1970s,his Hippie Lodge in kudaku was our ready abode anytime we visited Gorobi.When my father Mallam.Dauda Yaroe died in 2005,while I was working with the Nigeria stock exchange in Lagos,Jonah was the one who broke the sad news to me.
” He did not stop at that,he took charged of everything conveying the corpse to mortuary of a private hospital in yola,procured the casket,arranging for the final resting place and taken care of other sundry funeral requirements ”
The senetor further urged the youths of his senetorial district to followed the footsteps of the deceased by engaging themselves in meaningful ventures that will enable them become responsible members of the society and contributes their quota to the development of the society as examplified by the deceased and task his family to sustained his legacies which can only be appreciated through them.
Also speaking, The Archbishop of the Lutheren church of christ in Nigeria( LCCN) who is the Immidiate past president of Lutheren world federation, most Rev. Musa panti philibus also extolled the virtue of the deceased and urged believers to focus on leaving a good name an̈d legacies that will outweighs them when they are alive as left behind by Baba Jonah Wesley to which people are giving testimonies of his good deeds today .
According to him,legacy is a continue process of living a worthy life, and no matter how wealthy you are ,you cannot buy a good name because it is not a commodity to be bought or sold but it is earned through your relationships with people, actions and inactions when you are alive hence the need for people to be upright and impactful to society whenever the have the opportunity for posterity sake.
Most of those who spoke at the event within and outside the state, including Political office holders ,top Government officials ,traditional and religious leaders have showerd ecomiums on the deceased for leaving an exemplary life during his time on earth and prayer for his soul to continued to rest in peace with God almighty and grant him eternal rest.
