Edo man kills father, stepmom 

A man identified as Etionsa Aiguokun, 32, has reportedly hacked his 74-year-old father to death over alleged disagreement.

The incident reportedly occured at Evbomore community in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo state.

The suspect was also said to have killed his stepmom alongside his dad after she tried to intervane in the death of the 74-year-old simply identified as Mr. Aiguokun.

Blueprint gathered that the suspect reportedly reached out for a pestle in the kitchen after a disagreement with his father, and reportedly used it to hack him to death.

A source disclosed that the suspect stepmom who rushed to the scene to intervane following the screaming, was reportedly also hacked to death.

The suspect was said to have thereafter dragged the corpses  to the backyard of the house and dumped them near a soak away. 

According to the source,  the suspect afterwards collected his late father’s mobile phone and sold it for N25,000.

“And when the other children  did not see their parents, they reported a case of missing persons at the Ugbowo police Division.

“Upon investigations, the bodies of the deceased were recovered in the house while the suspect confessed how he killed them,” the source added.

Spokesman for Edo State police command, Chidi Nwabuzor, who confirmed the incident said the suspect is going through interrogation to ascertain why he committed the crime.
