Ede poly: NAPS hails Adetimehin’s appointment as governing council chairman

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s decision on the appointment of Engineer Ade Adetimehin as the governing council chairman in Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun state.

The students’ body also congratulated the newly appointee on his new position.

This was contained in a statement issued by the NAPS Senate President, Adeniji Boluwaji Temitope during the week in Ede, Osun state.

NAPS while describing the appointee as a great lover of Polytechnic Education in Nigeria, noted that Adetimehin’s appointment came at the right time for the institution.

The statement reads further: “Without any gainsaying, over the years ENGR Ade Adetimehin has always been proactive in any Matter related to Technical/Polytechnic Education in Nigeria, we are not surprised on his Appointment by President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Chairman Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Ede, it’s Cristal Clear that this New assignment will give more colour to Federal Polytechnic Ede, because the Newly Appointed Chairman of the Governing council is a real Father who believes passionately on Progress and development in all ramifications.

“Congratulations to the entire Management and Students of Federal Polytechnic Ede Osun State for this great blessing that has come the way of the Institution.

NAPS, equally pledged to continue to give support to every genuine appointment and leaders across the Country.

Recall that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had earlier constituted a new governing councils for tertiary institutions across the country.

However, the appointments has greeted heavy criticism among Nigerians.

Subsequently, the President ordered a review of the list of the chairpersons and members of the governing councils of Nigeria’s tertiary institutions as recently released by the Federal Ministry of Education (FME).
