Develop good leadership skill, NYSC DG tells corps members

The Director-General, National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Suleiman Kazaure has advised corps members to embrace all programmes of the three week orientation course to groom themselves into becoming responsible leaders at all levels.
The DG in a statement signed by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi, recently gave the charge in Kano state orientation camp in Dam Karaye, while addressing the 2018 Batch ‘B’ Stream II corps members deployed to Kano and Borno states during his visit.
The NYSC boss urged them to use their experience as graduates to contribute their quota to national development through leadership skills, entrepreneurial, traditional and motivational lectures among other programmes packaged for them in the camp.
Kazaure said the unity of Nigeria is a collective responsibility of all and sundry.
“You are the leaders of today and tomorrow and your services as corps members are very important to the corporate existence and progress of this country,” he added.
Kano state Coordinator, Mallam Baba Ladan, commended the Director-General for providing 100 KVA Mikano power generating set for the orientation camp.
He also commended Kano state government for overhauling the camp facilities.
A total of 2,188 corps members were registered in camp comprising 1,090 females and 1,098 males.
Camp officials have been committed to duty since the inception of the camp but outstanding ones would be rewarded,” 2 the coordinator said.
