Delta police rescue council boss’ wife, daughter

Delta state police command has rescued the wife and a three year old daughter of the chairman of Aniocha South local government area of the state, Mr. Isaac Anwuzia.
The Council chairman’s wife, Mrs. Ifeoma Fafour Anwuzia, and the daughter, Goodness, were kidnapped by hoodlums at their residence.
Acting State Public Relations Officer, Charles Muka, said: “On 26/10/2015, at 0730hrs, the DPO Ogwashi-Uku Division received a distress call that five gunmen invaded residence of one Hon. Isaac Anwuzia of Agidisei Ogwashi-Uku and kidnapped his wife one Ifeoma Favour ‘f’ aged 32 years and his three-year-old daughter, one Godness Anwusia.”
PPRO said the hoodlums forced the victims into the complainant’s Toyota Corolla car parked in the compound and drove to unknown destination.

“On receipt of the report, the Divisional patrol team pursued the hoodlums toward Edo-Ogwashi-uku where the hoodlums on sighting the patrol team abandoned the victims and the vehicle, and escaped into the bush.”
He, however, said victims were rescued unhurt and the vehicle recovered immediately.
DSP Muka said the policemen combed the bush and arrested one Pascal Kure ‘m’, aged 24yrs of DDPA Estate, Asaba and Chinedu Obiazu ‘m’, aged 28yrs of Umuneze quarters, Idumeze Asaba, while the rest three escaped.
He said investigation was on-going with a view to arresting the fleeing hoodlums.
