Cleric empowers 1, 200 widows, begs wealthy Nigerians to assist the poor

Worried by the economic situation that Nigerians are facing, the founder of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Prophet Sam Olu Alo, has called on  well-to-do people in the country to come to the aid of the less privileged.

The cleric made the appeal Sunday while giving financial assistance to 1,200 widows, aged, and scholarships to some students of secondary schools in Ido-Ekiti, his home town in Ekiti state.

Prophet Alo said the call became necessary due to the prevailing economic challenges in the country.

The programme which holds once a year and the eleventh in its series was aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries with a view to raising their hope in life.

The religious leader who was represented by one of his subordinates, Prophet Asonibare Ayomide, said: “This programme holds yearly. Today will be marking the eleventh year that the Lord has been using our father, Prophet Alo to empower the youth and also  encourage the elderly and to assist students of the less privileged who could not get funds to further their academic pursuits.

“The Lord has put it in the heart of our father to actually be of help to the upcoming generation. And like what has happened today, now he is giving out some token to make them happy and scholarships for the students. That is what normally happens once in a year in this particular ministry.

While appreciating the kind gesture displayed by Prophet Alo to the beneficiaries, Miss Adetona Moyinoluwa, a student of Christ’s Girls School,  Ado-Ekiti, said:” I want to say thank you to our father, Prophet Alo for his benevolence.”
