Following the release of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations draw, Super Eagles coach Eric Sekou Chelle said that his primary focus is qualification for 2026 World Cup.
The Nigerian team is set to play two crucial matches in March and must secure favourable results to keep their World Cup hopes alive.
After the AFCON draw in Rabat, Chelle noted that he is fully focused on the qualifiers scheduled for March.
“As I’ve said before, my focus is on my players and March,” Chelle stated.
“We need to concentrate on the World Cup qualifiers first, and after that, we can begin thinking about the AFCON in October. For now, we need to win two games in March.”
The Super Eagles will face Rwanda’s Amavubi and Zimbabwe’s Warriors in March.
