The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Chris G. Musa, has hailed the progress and achievements recorded by Operation Hadin Kai, North East JTF Theater Command Headquarters, Maiduguri, within the short period of its leadership.
General Musa dropped the commendation Monday at a 4-day HUMAN SECURITY AND CIMIC WORKSHOP held at the Theater Command Officers Mess.
He added that the theater command consistently shows commitment through kinetic and non kinetic operations in the restoration of peace and stability in the region.
He also said the efforts and success of the modern operation could tackle operations in collaboration with the civilians which is a welcome development.
Represented by the Chief of Defence , Civil Military Relations, Defence Headquarters , Rear Admiral Olusanya A. Bankole, he also charged them to be more progressive in safeguarding the nation.
“All of you must ensure peace prevails in every part of the country as yardsticks for meaningful development, as we commence this 4 -day Human Security and CIMIC Workshop organised by the Defence Headquarters and the British Defence Staff.
“I welcome you to this essential training program, designed to build capacity and deepen our understanding of human security and Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) frameworks.
“Our objective here is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to develop peace-building programs in conflict-affected areas and to strengthen our non-kinetic operational approaches.
“In a world where conflict and tension often cloud our perspectives, embracing non-kinetic strategies allows us to navigate conflicts with dignity, fostering dialogue and collaboration to build more peaceful and resilient communities.
“I would like to express my profound appreciation to the British High Commission, particularly British Defence Staff, for their steadfast support and consistent commitment to the professional development of the Nigerian Armed Forces.”
