Bwari area council launches official website

The Bwari Area Council in the FCT has launched its official website to promote its diverse activities and development in order to attain global limelight. 

While launching the project at Bwari secretariat on Monday, chairman of the council, Mr John Gabaya, said the website was built to also showcase the diverse culture of the people.

Gabaya, who was represented by the council Secretary, Mr Eli Kadanya, revealed the project will not only be beneficial to residents of the council, but to Nigerians and the world at large.

He said: “It is a work in progress that started in February and this council is one, out of the very few councils in the FCT to have the platform.

“The site will be upgraded and updated on the go to include vital information about the council’s culture, institutions, food production, site attractions and other developmental activities.

“It is expected to give easy access to especially those visiting the council for the first time or seeking information about the council from any part of the world. 

“By so doing, the site is expected to project  all the positive things the council has to offer to the world.”

The chairman also assured that the website would capture the various towns under the council, including Kubwa, Mpape, Dutse, other villages and their unique domain and expertise.

Also speaking, the website developer and consultant, Mr Solomon Danjuma,

in his presentation, said that the website, www.bwariareacouncil.com, allows people to discover the unique, captivating blend of tradition and modernity of the people. 

He explained that site was developed in a way for people to experience “the vibrant markets, serene landscapes, and the rich spirit of Nigerian culture in one remarkable destination.”

Speaking with Blueprint reporter, a staff of the council, Mrs Hadiza Usman, lauded the effort of the administration for providing the platform for both staff, residents of the area and Nigeria at large.

While also commending the developers for a job well done, she described the website as user-friendly, sleek and offers easy navigation to find essential information. 

“The responsive design on various devices enhances the overall experience, making it a well-crafted platform,” she said.

Similarly, a resident, Mrs Julie Shekwomaza, said she was impressed by the meticulous attention to detail, while adding that the website, seamlessly delivered vital information.

“The news and events updates keep the community connected, reflecting a job well done,” she said.

The event was attended by all the Heads of Departments in the council secretariat, staff, councillors and Supervisory councilors and residents of the council.
