A new twist was introduced on Sunday September 1, 2024 in the ongoing BBNaija season 9 as organisers dissolved remaining pairs in the house.
The pair dissolution means every housemate will carry on in the contest individually henceforth with 16 of them remaining to battle for the coveted N100 million prize.
The remaining individual contestants are Ozee, Ocee, Wanni, Handi, Ben, Topher, Sooj, Tjay, Anita, Nelly, Victoria, Shaun, Kellyrae, Kassia, Chizoba and Onyeka.
Dissolving the pairs, Big Brother announced: “For the past five (5) weeks, you have had someone to hold your hands when you felt uncertain; you have had a shoulder to lean on when you felt weak, and you have had an active partner to protect you while you slept your days away. You have had someone to drive your partnership to ensure you comfortably arrived at this point.
“Housemates, Big Brother, hereby, remove your crutches. Henceforth, you will walk this path alone. The pairs are, hereby, dissolved, and your fate is now squarely in your hands.
“You will no longer be a passenger on someone else’s ride. You will no longer be allowed to live in another person’s shadow. You will compete for yourselves and if you choose not to compete and decide to spend the rest of your days eating and sleeping, be assured you will do so at your own peril,”
