Breaking: Defection galore as all Delta House of Representatives members move to APC

It was detection galore on Tuesday at the resumption of plenary of the House of Representatives, as six members from Delta state tate announced their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Another two members from Enugu State also defected from the Labour Party (LP) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The defections were announced by the Speaker of the House, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, through separate letters of the lawmakers.

The six defectors from Delta State include: Victor Nwokolo, Julius Pondi, Thomas Ereyitomi, Nicholas Mutual, Ukodhiko Jonathan, and Nnamdi Ezechi, while those from Enugu State are Mark Obetta and Denis Nnamdi.

They all cited some unresolved party crisis, and parallel leadership as being behind their descions.

However, the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, and former fovernor Ifeanyi Okowa, in about a fortnight ago left the PDP for the ruling APC.
