The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Tuesday retained the Monetary Policy Rate at 13.5 per cent.
CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, said this when he briefed journalists of the committee’s decision at the end of a two-day meeting on Tuesday in Abuja.
He said apart from the MPR that was retained at 13.5 per cent, the committee decided to hold the Cash Reserves Ratio at 22.5 per cent.
Also unchanged are the Liquidity Ratio at 30 per cent; and the Asymmetric Window which was left at +200 and -500 basis points around the MPR.
