The executive chairman of Kwaya Kusar Local Government Area (LGA) in Borno state, Hon. Salihu Adamu Yanga, has hailed Governor Baba Gana Zulum developmental strides.
The LGA Chair, who commended the governor, called for further infrastructural provisions in the state, particularly the area councils.
Yanga gave the commendation in a press release made available to Blueprint in Abuja on Wednesday.
He listed the governor’s achievements in the area of human capital development, infrastructure provisions fighting of insurgency, raising the standards of education and health care as highly commendable.
Others are the provision of modern transportation systems in the council, appealing to the federal government to step in by constructing the Biu/ kwaya kusar Bayo / Gombe road to take dividends of democracy closer to the people.
The stateme reads further: “The uplifting of the area council Secretariat housing and urban development, building of the government/ governor’s Lodge in kwaya kusar, ultra modern shop in the kwaya kusar
Construction of trucks B and township roads in kwaya kusar area and Council and the 27 area council among others are timely and key.
“The construction of housing quarters in the council, ultra modern shops, training of nursing and midwifery, building of primary and secondary health care centers and dispensaries in the area council has raised the standard of health systems in the state.
While extolling the governors virtues further, Yanga lauded his leadership style, urging the youths in his area council to emukate and reciprocate the governors gesture by engaging in meaningfull activities, obey law and others, shun drugs abuse and engaged in entrepreneurship and skill acquisition programme of the government for self development.
On the establishment of North East Development Commission (NEDC) with it head office in Maiduguri, Yanga thanked the royal father’s particularly, Emirates of Biu for their advice.
He also thanked the deputy governor Usman Kadafur for being there always.
