House of Representatives has directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris to fish out and prosecute killers of the paramount ruler of Bokkos, Dah Lazarus Agai, and four other persons on Monday.
Agai was reportedly murdered alongside his son, daughter in-law, his orderly, a police Inspector and another relative while on their way from the farm.

Adopting a motion under matters of urgent public importance yesterday, by Hon. Solomon Maren whose constituency the attacks took place, the House further directed all security agencies in the country to deploy personnel to the area with a view to forestalling any breakdown of law and order.
Meanwhile, Plateau state Caucus in the House has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to personally speak up against the spate of killings by herdsmen across the country, insisting that it was not enough for his media aides to issue statements in condemnation of the acts, which they said if allowed to continue, may lead to chaos.
Led at a media briefing by Maren in Abuja yesterday, the Caucus said such killings have become recurring decimals, which has now reached its peak.

“It is not just a murder. It is an attempt to erase us,” Maren said while appealing to youth of the area to stay calm while law enforcement agencies carry out their investigations.
Also speaking, Hon. Timothy Golu cautioned that it was time something is urgently done before there is an escalation of violence in the area.
“We want the President to visit and see things for himself. Our people want to hear him talk in strong statement to give us a sense of belonging. Whoever that is this blood-thirsty should know that if we must live together, we must live in peace,” he said.
Similarly, Hon. Istifanus Gyang and Hon. Edward Pajwok in their submissions said there appeared to be palpable indifference by the authorities over such killings in Plateau state.
