FCT FA chairman, Adam Mouktar Mohammed has described his choice by Blueprint Newspapers as Sports Icon of the Year 2024 as a tonic that will spur him and his administration further to do more for the nation and humanity in general.
Alhaji Mouktar made the declaration on the sideline after receiving the awards at the Continental Hotel Abuja (formerly Sheraton ) Tuesday in Abuja.
“I must say it’s a huge honour from such a prestigious media organization and institution like Blueprint. I really feel honoured, humble and thankful to the organisation.
‘The award means a lot to me It’s impact Award –Blueprint is keeping track of all the efforts we’re putting to develop the game. It tells us a lot about Blueprint keeping an eye on those that are making impact. The award will help me redouble my efforts and my contribution to sports,social development and the country at large.
Blueprint Newspapers also acknowledged Mouktar transformational and digital leadership especially towards the completion of Bwari Township Stadium as well as projecting FCT FA as model in the nation.
