The International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) Nigeria is set to host a groundbreaking General Meeting themed “The Blue Economy Revolution: Emerging Opportunities for Real Estate Players.”
The event, scheduled for Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 8:30 AM at Radisson Blu, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos, will bring together top industry experts, government officials, and real estate professionals to discuss the evolving intersection of real estate and Nigeria’s blue economy.
The event will be headlined by Ubong Essien, CSP, West Africa’s only Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), former Special Adviser on Communications and Strategy to the Director-General of NIMASA, and Founder of the Blue Economy Academy.
With decades of experience in strategic communication, maritime policy, and business development, Ubong Essien will deliver the keynote speech on how real estate investors and developers can leverage Nigeria’s vast coastal and maritime assets for sustainable growth.
Speaking on the upcoming event, Essien emphasized the importance of transitioning from “Crude to Blue” and how real estate players can capitalize on waterfront developments, coastal urbanisation, and maritime-driven economic policies.
“Nigeria’s Blue Economy is a multi-billion-dollar frontier waiting to be fully explored. The real estate industry must begin to position itself strategically in areas such as coastal housing, marine tourism, and smart waterfront cities. This event will provide a roadmap for industry players to seize emerging opportunities in this sector.”
