The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) on Friday announced a partnership with Nigerian music legend Innocent Tuface Idibia to promote locally made products and empower regional creatives.
BIPC’s Group Managing Director, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, who welcomed Tuface and his team for a high-level strategic dialogue at the company’s headquarters in Makurdi, said the partnership “aims to move to spotlight Benue’s rich cultural and economic potentials.”
Asemakaha showcased the company’s expanding portfolio of home-grown products, including Zeva Premium Beer, Oyi Bitters, BIP water, locally baked bread, nails, and nylon, emphasising their readiness for national and international markets.
“Soon our mangoes and oranges will not go out of Benue. We will create scarcity and stimulate the economy,” he said, underscoring the state’s bold vision for self-sustaining agricultural and commercial growth.
Tuface applauded the company’s forward-thinking leadership, expressing admiration for BIPC’s commitment to grassroots innovation.
He stressed the importance of tapping into local talent, saying, “You have the stars. Different people have different strengths, and we will work with the talents on the ground.”
Asemakaha also said “we are ready to invest in anything that will bring returns, including Benue’s budding music industry.”
BIPC’s Company Secretary, Josephat Ioryoosu, invited Tuface to headline a flagship entertainment event in December, this year, envisioning a celebration that could become a cornerstone of Benue’s cultural calendar, akin to Timaya’s annual concert in Bayelsa state.
Tuface, who responded enthusiastically, promised to spearhead a recurring festival that showcases Benue’s artistic excellence and traditional heritage.
The singer revealed plans to revive indigenous dance forms such as Kwaghir and Tsue Tsele to blend tradition with contemporary entertainment.
