Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has urged the people to live a life of dedication and excellence in the spirit of the birth of Prophet Mohammed.
Bello, who made the call in a message through his Chief Press Secretary, Petra Akinti Onyegbule, said Nigerians must dedicate their lives to the pursuit of good, justice and equity.
He said Prophet Mohammed led an exemplary life of dedication, equity and justice, and that “the best birthday gift to Prophet Mohammed is for all to strive to build an egalitarian society where equity, justice and fairness are paramount.”
“I urge all Kogites and Nigerians in general to imbibe the teachings of Prophet Mohammed by promoting peace and stability in the society. In a time like this, leaders must eschew selfishness and contribute to the well-being of the people,” he said.
