Bauchi state has recorded first suspected coronavirus death on Monday since the outbreak of the disease in the state this year.

The state governor Bala Mohammed disclosed this Wednesday while giving update to Journalists on the pandemic held at government house Bauchi.

According to him, the deceased Bello Shehu Ilelah was the former Secretary to the State Government and has died before the completion of investigation into his symptoms suspected to be coronavirus.

He noted that the former SSG travelled recently to Abuja and fell sick on his return to Bauchi adding that he passed away before the conclusion of investigation into his coronavirus like symptoms.
