The former Talata Mafara local government sole administrator, Alhaji Saminu Sulaiman Morai, has been killed by terrorists, a resident of the council area, identified as Abdulrahman Sulaiman Morai, said in a telephone interview with Blueprint.
He stated that Morai was killed during an attack launched by some heavily armed bandits who invaded the area, Monday night.
“The terrorists besieged the area at around 2:00am last night in their large numbers with heavy weapons and attempted to kidnap the deceased which he resisted and they shot him to death,” he said.
He further stated that his wife and yet to be specified number of children were also abducted and taken to an unknown bandits’ den.
Morai was a retired permanent secretary and later served as Talata Mafara council sole administrator.
“As I am talking to you now, we are yet to ascertain how many people were abducted by these dreaded terrorists during the invasion,” he stated.
