Thousands of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters, Monday, converged on Kwatarkwashi town of Bungudu Local Government to receive Zamfara state Governor Dauda Lawal.
Governor Lawal was out of the state for an official engagement outside the country.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Dauda expressed his appreciations for the support given to him by his supporters in state .
“I am overwhelmed by this your momentum gathering and support shown to me and will not go in vain,” he said.
According to him, the recent Court of Appeal judgement is a temporary setback, stressing that PDP will remain the ruling party in Zamfara state.
“We are not loosing hope and we shall remain committed in praying to Almighty Allah to be with us always and I am assuming good people of Zamfara state that success is behind us,” he said
Governor Dauda Lawal urged his supporters and good people of the state to remain calm and law abiding citizens, saying his administration will continue with good projects that will have direct bearing for them.
” I am calling on my supporters and good people of the state to be law abiding citizens and eschew any form of causing unrest that could disrupt our good policies and programs for developing the state, ” he said.
