APC membership revalidation: Coalition frowns at ex-gov’s ‘shabby treatment’

A coalition of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters in Zamfara state, under the aegis of APC Amana Forum, has strongly condemned the APC leadership in the state for depriving the former governor, Senator Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura, from revalidating his membership of the party.

The chairman of the forum, Hon. Aliyu Iliyasu Muhammad Gusau made the condemnation at a press conference in Gusau Tuesday.

According to him, the leadership of forum has drawn the attention of APC caretaker committee in the state particularly Bakura local government to reverse the decision denying Yarima of the right to validate his membership.

“The former governor, Senator Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura did not deserve such treatment from the party stakeholders in view of the critical role he played in forming the APC and nursing it to attain where it is today”, Hon. Gusau stated.

According to him, Senator Ahmad Yarima had been the father for all APC members whose legacies to the state go beyond such ill-decision.

He pointed out that if what Senator Kabir Garba Marafa and his likes from the former G8-Group did that subjected the party into loss could be forgiven, then Senator Yarima’s issue need to be overlooked, hence the need for the National Caretaker committee of the APC to hasten their intervention to rescue the party from cracks.

The forum described Yarima as a politician with national reputation and skills to derive masses support to political movements adding that his legacies could not be forgotten within a short while.

The members of the forum implored party faithfuls in the state to join the crusade for maintaining the dignity and integrity of the former governor, statesman and APC national chieftain for the progress, peace and unity of the APC in Zamfara state.

The leadership of APC in Zamfara state refused to validate the membership of the former governor who spent four hours on the queue without getting his membership revalidation in the ongoing APC membership revalidation exercise.
