The Amalgamated APC Support Groups members have been charged to use the Christmas and New Year periods to reflect on the future of the groups and pray for unity, progress and peace in the country.
In a message released to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday, Alhaji Salman Akorede, who is being tipped to emerge as the new Director General of the Amalgamated APC Support Groups, urged members to further unite and forgive each other in the spirit of the Christmas and New Year.
He appealed for the cooperation of all to ensure that the support groups’ body got the right focus and prepare to make sacrifices and contributions that are required for progress and collective good of members
The APC chieftain also commended President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s administration for the bold economic reforms it has embarked upon, and pledged the support of his members at all times.
Alhaji Salman equally appealed to the president to ensure that the support groups are compensated with appointments as reward for contributing to his success at the polls.
According to him, the support groups constituted a strong pillar of support not only to the government, but also to the party and should be encouraged by being included in government and national party assignments.
He prayed for peace and tranquility in the nation, calling on Nigerians to continue to support the government in its efforts to revamp the economy and make Nigeria a better place for all.
