Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Wusasa Diocese in Zaria local government area of Kaduna state have concluded necessary arrangement to hold 7th Synod marking 19 years of its existence.
A statement by the Diocese’s Bishop, Rt. Rev. Ali Buba Lamido, raising from pre-Synod meeting held at General Theophilus Yakubau Danjuma hall located at St. Bartholomew Schools, Wusasa, yesterday has said.
The statement said there was going to be presentation and launch of Bishop’s charge.
It quoted the Bishop as saying: “We appreciate the government‘s efforts in the cleaning of Ogoni land, we hope the work will not stop half way.
“We call on Government to find lasting solution to the Niger Delta problems the warring groups should shield their swords.
“The Government should address the economic problems this country is facing and ameliorate the suffering of the masses.”
On Fulani herdsmen/farmers clash the statement urged the federal government fish out those behind the menace in order to find out lasting solution to the problem.
Our correspondent reports that the Diocese was curved out from Kaduna Diocese as a Diocese of Wusasa in 1997.
