Preparations have reached top gear for the annual Blueprint Impact Series/Awards Ceremony holding Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Abuja Continental Hotel (formerly Sheraton Hotel), beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The event, which has become a flagship platform to interrogate governance, will also serve as a platform to discuss burning national issues that could impact the life of the citizenry.

In the same vein, the event seeks to recognise public figures as well as those in the private sector, including companies and notable individuals making a difference in the life of the nation.

Managing Director/Chef Executive Officer of the newspaper, Malam Salisu Umar, announced this in a statement Tuesday in Abuja.

He said: “Blueprint Newspapers Limited is pleased to announce that the 2024 edition of its Impact Series/Awards Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Abuja Continental Hotel (formerly Sheraton Hotel), beginning at 9:30 a.m.

“The event, which has become a flagship platform for honouring exemplary leadership, innovation in governance, policy clarity, and transformational impact across Nigeria’s public and private sectors, will feature a compelling keynote lecture to be delivered by Professor Attahiru Jega, Special Adviser to the President and National Coordinator of the Presidential Livestock Reform Initiative,” he said.

Salisu said: “Professor Jega will speak on the topic, “Exploring the Potentials of Livestock Exports in Nigeria,” a subject carefully selected to reflect current national priorities around economic diversification, rural revitalisation and food security.

“The choice of Professor Jega as keynote speaker was the outcome of a rigorous evaluation by a panel of distinguished scholars and public policy analysts who recognised his decades-long track record in institutional reform, democratic development and socio-economic advancement.

“As a former INEC Chairman and one of Nigeria’s most respected intellectuals, Professor Jega brings a rare mix of academic excellence, policy depth and real-world governance experience. His current role as the National Coordinator of the Presidential Livestock Reform Initiative positions him as the most fitting voice to dissect the untapped economic opportunities in the livestock value chain.”

“This year’s theme is particularly timely, as Nigeria seeks to reposition its livestock sub-sector as a catalyst for agro-industrial transformation, job creation and global trade integration. Livestock development remains one of the most underexplored frontiers in our economic narrative. The keynote address by Professor Jega will provide fresh insights into how Nigeria can reimagine the sector for export competitiveness and sustainable national development.

“The 2024 Impact Series and Awards will bring together key players across governance, industry, development, security, media, and diplomacy. Expected attendees include serving and former governors, ministers, heads of key institutions, service chiefs, top diplomats, corporate executives and development partners.

The event will also feature the formal presentation of merit awards to outstanding individuals and institutions who have demonstrated uncommon excellence in service delivery, leadership innovation, economic development and social impact.

The annual Impact Series/Awards is our way of identifying and celebrating those who are pushing boundaries, redefining standards and building a Nigeria that works for all,” the statement concluded.
