President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday held a closedoor meeting with a former Governor of Borno state, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff , in his office at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Sheriff , who recently returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC), was national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He sneaked out of the Presidential Villa after the meeting through the security gate reserved for service chiefs and selected top government functionaries. This is the first time the President met Sheriff since the latter was ousted as PDP chairman. He had met with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa on September 22, 2017.
