The Akwa Ibom state government has approved the recruitment of 3,000 qualified professionals into its mainstream civil service.

This move is aimed at strengthening public service delivery and empowering the youth across the state.

The recruitment exercise, approved by Governor Umo Eno, spans various disciplines, including education, healthcare, engineering, law, agriculture, science and administration.

A statement by the  Commissioner for Science and Digital Economy, Frank Ekpenyong, in Uyo  Monday, noted that the recruitment will be conducted through ARISE Youth Employment Portal https://employment.akwaibomstate.gov.ng.

Ekpenyong said the initiative is part of the governor’s commitment to transparency and job creation through the ARISE agenda.

“These appointments span every discipline and cadre, including teachers, nurses, administrators, engineers, scientists, state counsels, technicians, accountants, agriculturists, and many more.

“Applicants are required to complete their profiles on the portal by uploading relevant documents such as academic certificates, NYSC discharge or exemption certificates, and other required credentials before they can apply,” the statement noted.

The ministry added that candidates must apply for only one vacancy that aligns with their qualifications and that a valid email address will serve as the sole channel of communication throughout the process.

The statement said some roles may require an aptitude test, for which clear instructions and dates will be provided via the portal.

Candidates are expected to present their printed invitation slip, original certificates, and writing materials on the day of the test or interview.

Successful applicants will receive final notifications through the portal and be directed to report to the appropriate departments for documentation and on boarding.
