Again, gunmen strike, kidnap hotelier, nursing mother, 7 others in Oyo

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers at the weekend invaded Ajaawa community in Ogo Oluwa local government area of Oyo state and kidnapped nine persons including a nursing mother and hotelier in the town.
Blueprint gathered that the gunmen at about 10pm on Saturday invaded the hotel, and kidnapped its owner, Honourable Olukunle Oyedokun, (said to have arrived the town in preparation for his father’s burial this Friday) and eight others. 


However, two others said to be within the hotel when the gunmen stormed the hotel escaped being abducted by whiskers
According to sources, the eight other person’s kidnapped alongside the hotelier were identified as his wife, Busayo Oyedokun, and the baby she is nursing; Oyedokun’s first child, Omoriyeba, and her six-year-old daughter Adesewa  his brother’s wife, Julianah Oyedokun, and her 10-year-old son John and another child belonging to Oyedokun, Oluwajuwonlo in addition to the guest.


The kidnappers were said to have arrived the hotel said to be located behind CAC primary school, Lagbedu road , Ajaawa at about 10 pm. shooting sporadically and abducted  all their captives into an unknown destination through the nearby bush.


It was gathered that the kidnappers on Sunday  made phone calls to the family of the kidnapped hotelier demanding N15 million as ransom, and that as at the time of sending this report, the abductors have reduced the ransom to N2.5 million, which was still being looked for, in order to secure freedom for the victims.
It was reliably gathered that police operatives, Amotekun Corps, local hunters and vigilante group members are now combing the bush in search of the kidnappers’ latest victims.
