Afenifere youth seek Adebanjo’s removal as acting leader

The Yoruba Afenifere Youth Organisation of Nigeria (YAYON) has called for immediate removal of Pa Ayo Adebanjo as the acting leader of the Pan Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere.

In a protest Tuesday in Akure, the Ondo state capital, the youth led by the president, Comrade Erick Oluwole, said the need for call for removal of the acting leader precipitate on the premise of various anomalies and wrangling caused by the acting leader.

The youth carrying various placards with inscriptions like ”  Our vote of no confidence on Pa Ayo Adebanjo stand, Ayo Adebanjo must go, Pa Fasoranti restructure Afenifere, ” amongst other.

The youth president, Erick Oluwole,  stated that various steps taken by Pa Adebanjo in the recent time, indicate attempt to destroy and scatter the unity and purpose of the organisation, especially sudden suspension of two national officers of the organisation without a recourse to the national leader of the organisation, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.
