Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman is reportedly furious after the club turned down the latest transfer bid from Inter Milan.

According to Nigerian broadcast journalist Onyebuchi Onokala, popularly known as Buchi Laba, Lookman is keen to leave the Bergamo-based side this summer, with Inter Milan as his preferred destination. However, negotiations between both Serie A clubs have so far been unsuccessful.

Inter’s latest offer — an initial €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons — was rejected by Atalanta, who are said to be holding out for at least €50 million upfront, excluding add-ons.

“There was a gentleman’s agreement that if a good offer came in they would accept. That’s why he didn’t leave in January 2025,” Buchi Laba posted on X. “He wants Inter Milan and has rejected other offers.”

Lookman, 26, played a crucial role in Atalanta’s successful 2024 season, notably scoring a hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final. His form has attracted interest from several top clubs, but he is believed to have set his sights firmly on a move to the Nerazzurri.

With the transfer window still open, it remains to be seen whether Inter will return with an improved bid or if Atalanta will soften their stance.
