The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has unveiled its newly confirmed National Working Committee (NWC) after an approval by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The new development came via the party’s official X handle on 5 August 2025.
Mark and others emergence signalled a major shake-up and repositioning of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
While former Senate President Sen. David Mark emerged as National Chairman, and other key appointments included Raufu Adesoji Aresegbola, who was announced as the party’s National Secretary.
Others are Hon. Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary, Sir Babachir Lawal – Deputy National Chairman (North East), Chinonso Obasi – Deputy National Youth Leader, Hon. Usani Uguru Usani – Assistant National Chairman, Sen. Clever Ikisikpo, Deputy National Treasurer, Mrs. Jackie Wayas – Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Cmrd. Nkem Ukandu – National Welfare Secretary, Dr. Chike Okogeu – National Leader for Persons With Disabilities (PWD), Sen. Musa Elayo – National Vice Chairman (Diaspora), Barr. Chinedu Idigbo, National Organising Secretary and
Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor, who was named the National Legal Adviser of the party.
The announcement amids the inclusion of several seasoned politicians, which appears to be a strategic in a bid to boost.
The party’s relevance on the national stage has since sparked fresh interest in the ADC.
