Adamawa: Philanthropist dishes out cash, wrappers to 5,000 herders, vulnerable groups

In identifying with the vulnerable groups and the needy in the society, a famous Adamawa-born philanthropist  and founder of Emnamu Global Foundation, Dr. Emmanuel Musa, has distributed cash, wrappers and other items to over 5,000 Fulani herdsmen, wives, children and other vulnerable groups in the society to mark his birthday.

This gesture came barely one week after he paid for the freedom of  51 inmates  in various correctional centres across the state with a commitment to further work out a sustainable means of livelihood for them.

He also offered financial support to patients at the Madibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital and the State Specialist Hospital, Yola for their medical expenses. 

Speaking at the elaborate event which took place Thursday in his own town of Kala’a in Hong local government area of Adamawa state, Dr. Musa said the event, which is the fourth edition is his usual way of celebrating his birthday with the less privileged who matters a lot to him.

He stated that his wealth is for the poor and the needy because God blessed him to bless others and he will continue to sacrificed his life, energies and wealth to torch the lives of the common man.

He promised to continue to put smiles on the faces of the poor at the expense of his comfort as long as he is alive.

Dr Musa also used the opportunity to enumerate some of the achievements and interventions of the foundation which includes dishing out of scholarships, distribution of instructional materials, construction of classrooms and offices, donation of 200 million naira to school children, free medical outreaches, distributions of medical equipments, payment of medical bills, donations of wheel chairs, distributions of food and non foods items and giving people employment opportunities.
