In what they described as reconciliation in the overall interest of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party ward officials of Rumde, Yola North local government area of Adamawa state said they have withdrawn the suspension slammed on Comrade Mustapha Salihu, North-east national vice chairman of the party.
The ward chairman, Abdulkadir Abdullahi, at a press conference held at the party’s office said an internal feud arising from divergence interest may consume the party if care is not taken.
According to him, the disunity among party loyalists is what caused the internal party squabbles that led to the purported suspension of Comrade Salihu Mustapha.
He said the party is solely under the leadership and control of Comrade Salihu Mustapha who has been supporting them at all times.
He said the party is now more united with a prime aim, a single purpose to work for APC more so that the party will face the governorship election in two weeks.
Also speaking, ward secretary Garba Mohammed said Salihu is a loyal APC man, a great man m standing strong for the party, his suspension was in error that can never repeat itself.
Mallam Garba said that the suspension was a nullity orchestrated by some party members who are stooges of some politicians outside the party.
The vice chairman, Abdullahi Hamid, admitted that all the two warring factions have agreed to form a unitary party system that will build a cohesive ward APC in Adamawa.
