
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Office (MD/CEO) Nasarawa state Urban Development Board (NUDB) Engr. Ahmed Wada Yahaya, has debunked the purported collapsed flyover in Lafia the Nasarawa state capital.
He disclosed this on Thursday, while speaking to Journalists after went round the flyover.
He explained that the misinformation is purely the handwork of mischief makers who are bent on undermining the giant strides of governor Abdullahi Sule.
The MD who took journalists on tour of the facility said the flyover can withstand any pressure as the work is qualitative and durable.
He said, “Everything is stable, vehicles are flying, people are moving around doing their legal businesses. And its doesn’t in any way resemble the one that is being speculated on social media.”
He added that the flyover has 65 tones capacity that every vehicle of every weight can ply.
“Of course this is one of many legacy projects of Abdullahi Sule and we are proud to tell you that it was constructed by a very competent and prominent construction firm, and it has complied with all the engineering standards.
“Two days ago the social media was bombarded with speculations that it was collapsed, you have seen it yourself as combined edifice which comprised of an under pass and over pass that is flyover, these two circulars are together interchanges.
“You have seen it yourself, everything is stable, vehicles are flying, people are moving around doing their businesses, and its not in any way resemble the one that is been speculated on social media that is the work of mischief makers they want to blackmail the government of Abdullahi Sule and Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
He equally used the opportunity to call on the regulatory agencies and all security agencies to tress the purveyors of fake news for necessary actions.
