Enyimba, Kwara United and Plateau United Sunday evening recorded wins at home, while defending NPFL champions Enugu Rangers were held by Akwa United at Enugu.

Nine-time champions Enyimba climbed to eighth in the standings after they pipped El Kanemi Warriors courtesy of Joseph Atule 29th minute strike.

Atule was also the match winner at Niger Tornadoes last weekend. He has now netted four goals thus far.

Plateau United edged past Abia Warriors by the odd goal, while Kwara United were 2-0 winners at home versus Kano Pillars.

Defending champions Rangers had to fight from a goal down to force a 1-1 draw at home with Akwa United.

CHAN Eagles star Isaac Saviour salvaged the result for ‘The Flying Antelopes’  when he converted a penalty in the 48th minute.

Midfielder Ahmadu Liman scored his fifth goal of the season when he drew Sunshine Stars level before the interval at Nasarawa United.
