Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum, has raised question concerning the $960,000 paid to the Nigeria Football Federation by FIFA for 2023 Women’s World Cup, which according to him were not utilised.

Speaking through an online platform for a second time in two weeks, Waldrum said, “I’m not going to be quiet anymore. In October every country was giving $960,000 from FIFA to prepare for the World Cup, where is that money ?”

He described the NFF’s reaction to his recent podcast as “childish.”

In a podcast, Waldrum, an American coach said, “I saw the NFF response to my previous comments on the other podcast, and it just seemed like a really childish response.”

He further expressed his disappointment, saying, “In the two-and-a-half years that I’ve been here, I have never had one time that the federation came to me and asked, ‘What do you need, coach?’”

According to Waldrum, his motivation comes from the players, “I would have walked away from the job a long time ago.”

Meanwhile, the NFF through its communications director, Ademola Olajire, dismissed the coach’s outburst.

He said the money in question is being utilised for the preparation of the upcoming World Cup scheduled for Australia and New Zealand between July 20 and August 20.

Already, the team have left the shores of Nigeria for a two-week pre-World Cup camping.
