2nd anniversary: Abuja-based businessman lauds lawmaker Ukodhiko for quality representation

An Abuja based businessman, Mr. Bright Umukoro, has lauded the lawmaker  representing Isoko north/Isoko south constituency, Rt. Hon. Engr Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, for quality representation and outstanding achievements in the national assembly in the past two years. 

In a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists in Abuja on Sunday, Mr. Umukoro, who is the Managing Director of Zerahlight Global Services Limited, commended Ukodhiko’s exceptional representation since he was elected.

Umukoro,  who is an indigene of emevor but based in Abuja, said Ukodhiko has attracted many laudable projects to the constituency.

“He sponsored a Bill for the establishment the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Erawha-Owhe, Isoko North, Delta State, which is now waiting for concurrence passage by the Senate before onwards transmission for Presidential Assent.

” For also sponsoring a Bill for an Act to Repeal the Technology Business Incubation Foundation (Takeover) Act, to Provide for the Establishment of the National Agency for Technology Incubation and Other Related Matters (HB. 1055), which has been slated for second reading,” he said.

He noted that the lawmaker’s remarkable projects and programmes in the last two years covers  education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, rural electrification, empowerment, employment and interventions.

In the area of education, he said the lawmaker,  “facilitated the construction of  four classrooms and a staff room at Udueni Secondary School, Olomoro, facilitated the construction a block of six classrooms at Owodokpokpo Grammar School, awarded full-tuitions scholarships to ten (10) students to study professional courses at the Madonna University.”

He also “Sponsored 400 students in the 2024 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination (JAMB).

“sponsored free JAMB Computer Based Test (CBT) training for candidates who sat for the 2024 JAMB Examination .

“provided school desks to Ogu Primary School, Otor-Igho, Emiye Girls Grammar School, Oleh, Alaka Grammar School, Ozoro and Owodokpokpo Grammar School, Igbide. “

Umukoro disclosed that the lawmaker made significant strides in the health sector.

” He facilitated the supply of 50m worth of medical  equipments to Primary Health Centers in Isi-Emevor, Otor-Igho, Okpe-Isoko, Edherie and Orie.

“⁠Free medical outreach that saw 2,862 persons treated of various health ailments/challenges,” he said.

In the area of agriculture, he said he, ” He  facilitated the distribution  of 700bags or Urea and NPK15:15 fertilizers to farmers in n Isoko.

“Training of 150 constituents in fish farming, hatchery, smoking and marketing with each beneficiaries getting 300 fingerlings, bags of feeds and financial grants. “
