2027: Kwankwaso’ll soon join APC – Ganduje

National chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has said from all indications, the opposition New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) is dead, hence the move by its leader, former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to join the ruling party.

Ganduje declared that the party under his leadership will welcome Kwankwaso back to APC.

Speaking Tuesday in Abuja while addressing members of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) on a courtesy visit to APC national secretariat, Ganduje said his leadership has been receiving prominent politicians and lawmakers across the country into the APC in recent time, adding that the so called coalition against Tinubu in 2027 will soon collapse even as their leaders will return back to the APC.

He said: “The NNPP is dead. And it will soon be buried very, very soon. I’m hoping where we will put the dead body, the cofin has already been constructed.

“What remains now is to dig the grave. And already they are digging the grave very, very soon.

“Even at that, the so-called NNPP national leader says after losing everyone, he wants to come back to us, we will welcome him, because he’s coming back home,” Ganduje said.

The APC national chairman charged the visiting group to be resolute and continue to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration, even as he assured them of inclusion in the party’s activities.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ganduje has inaugurated members of the reconciliation committee for the forthcoming Anambra state governorship election.
