The Fix PDP, Fix Nigeria group has urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party nationwide to disregard zoning lists being circulated across online platforms, describing them as fake and misleading.
In a statement on Saturday, convener of the group, Elba Musa, clarified that the party has not taken any official decision on the micro-zoning of key offices.
He emphasized that the zoning committee of the party is yet to micro zone, and urged members to remain patient until an official pronouncement is made through the appropriate channels.
The group called on party faithful to resist attempts by political opportunists to sow confusion, stressing that the PDP’s unity and stability must be preserved as the party prepares for upcoming political contests.
“The attention of our group has been drawn to certain documents making the rounds on social media purporting to reflect zoning decisions of the PDP. We categorically state that these lists are not authentic and do not represent the official position of the party.
“Fix PDP, Fix Nigeria remains committed to strengthening internal democracy and ensuring that critical decisions such as zoning are handled with due process, fairness, and transparency,” the statement added.
